VibePen Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: 14 August 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the VibePen Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses VibePen — visitors, account holders, and AI agents acting on an account holder's behalf. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms.
VibePen exists to host and run code written by strangers, most of it generated by AI. That works only if the small number of things that make a code gallery dangerous are named clearly and removed quickly. This policy is that list.
If you are an account holder, you are responsible for everything published under your account, including everything an AI agent publishes with a credential issued to you. Not having read what your agent published is not a defence.
1. Do not use VibePen to deceive people#
Prohibited:
Phishing and credential harvesting. Pages that imitate a sign-in screen, payment form, wallet connection, security check, software update, or any other interface designed to collect passwords, one-time codes, payment details, private keys, recovery phrases, government identifiers or other sensitive information — whether or not the page actually transmits what it collects, and whether or not it is described as a "demo", "clone", "practice" or "for testing".
Impersonation. Presenting a Pen as belonging to, endorsed by or affiliated with a person, company or organization that has not authorized it. This includes copying another company's branding onto a page that asks for anything, and impersonating VibePen itself.
Fake stores, offers and giveaways, fraudulent investment or crypto schemes, "you have won" pages, and any other page whose purpose is to obtain money or credentials by pretence.
Deceptive redirection or cloaking — showing one thing to us or to a reviewer and another to visitors, or disguising where a link goes.
A page that harvests credentials is more dangerous under a domain a visitor has some reason to trust than under an unknown one. We treat this category as the most serious on the Service and act on suspicion.
2. Do not use VibePen to attack people or systems#
Prohibited:
Malware. Publishing, hosting, linking to, or staging malicious code: droppers, loaders, ransomware, keyloggers, browser hijackers, malicious browser extensions, or code that installs or executes anything on a visitor's machine without their informed consent.
Exploits aimed at visitors. Drive-by downloads, clickjacking, browser or extension exploits, and code intended to escape or defeat the Pen sandbox.
Attacks on other systems. Using a Pen to scan, flood, brute-force, or otherwise attack any network, service or person; using VibePen as command-and-control, exfiltration, or staging infrastructure.
Cryptomining or other unauthorized use of a visitor's resources.
Attacks on VibePen. Attempting to defeat our sandbox, content security policy, ingestion validation, rate limits, authentication, OAuth flows or moderation controls; accessing accounts or data that are not yours; probing for Pen identifiers you were not given.
Security research. Reporting a vulnerability in VibePen in good faith is welcome — write to dustadk@gmail.com. Do not test on other users' content or data, do not exfiltrate anyone's information, and do not publish a working exploit against the Service as a Pen.
3. Do not publish illegal or seriously harmful content#
Prohibited:
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualization of minors, in any form, including AI-generated. We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law and terminate the account immediately and permanently.
Content that is unlawful where it is published or where we operate, including material that facilitates serious crime.
Non-consensual intimate imagery, including synthetic or "deepfake" imagery of real people.
Incitement to violence, credible threats, terrorist or violent extremist content, and content that promotes or glorifies self-harm.
Harassment and hate. Targeted harassment of an individual; content that demeans or incites hatred against people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or another protected characteristic.
Doxxing. Publishing another person's private information — home address, phone number, government identifiers, financial details, private communications — without their consent.
Sexually explicit content. VibePen is a general-audience code gallery with no age gating; do not publish pornographic or sexually explicit material.
4. Do not publish content you have no right to publish#
Prohibited:
Content that infringes copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, publicity or privacy rights. AI generation is not a defence: if the output you publish reproduces someone's protected expression, publishing it infringes.
Content that breaches a licence you are bound by — including open-source licence terms and the terms of the AI tool that produced it.
Other people's credentials, API keys, tokens or private data.
Copyright complaints are handled under our Copyright and DMCA Policy.
5. Do not abuse the platform#
Prohibited:
Spam. Bulk-publishing near-identical Pens; publishing Pens whose purpose is link placement, SEO manipulation or advertising rather than the code itself; using Pen titles, descriptions or prompts as an advertising surface.
Metric manipulation. Inflating views, copies, downloads or any other signal, by any means.
Circumventing limits. Evading publishing rate limits, plan limits, moderation actions or account suspensions — including by creating additional accounts, using another person's account, or republishing content we have removed.
Report abuse. Filing abuse reports in bad faith, or to harass an author or bury the review queue.
Using VibePen as generic file hosting, a redirector, or a backend for something that is not a Pen.
Bulk extraction. Scraping or bulk-downloading beyond what our published interfaces provide, or evading rate limits or access controls to do so.
6. Rules for agent and automated publishing#
These apply to anyone publishing through an AI agent or any other programmatic interface — today, VibePen's MCP server.
Publish on a human's instruction. An agent must publish because the person it works for asked for that Pen, not to fill a gallery, test a pipeline at volume, or seed content.
Do not fake the public-visibility confirmation. Making a Pen public requires an explicit confirmation flag. Setting it without the human's actual decision — including instructing an agent to always set it — is a breach of this policy.
One account per human principal. Do not operate accounts on behalf of people who have not agreed to the Terms, and do not run an account farm.
Do not use VibePen as an agent's staging or exfiltration path. Publishing data harvested from elsewhere, or using a Pen's URL as a channel for moving data out of a system, is prohibited.
Treat Pen content as untrusted data. Content on VibePen may contain text that tries to instruct an AI agent reading it. Publishing a Pen designed to manipulate other people's agents is prohibited, and is treated as an attack under Section 2.
Respect the sandbox rules rather than probing them. Third-party network calls, off-origin form posts and third-party scripts are refused at publish and blocked at runtime, permanently and by design. Repeatedly generating variations to find a way around them is a breach of this policy.
7. How we enforce this#
We enforce this policy through the actions described in Section 8 of the Terms:
| Response | What it means |
|---|---|
| Quarantine | The Pen still runs at its own URL, but is removed from the gallery, search, trending and profiles, and is not indexed by search engines. Our first response to an uncertain signal, reversible in one step. |
| Disable | The Pen stops being served anywhere. Its page shows a takedown notice with the reason; its sandbox origin returns 410 Gone. |
| Account suspension | Everything the account has published stops being served, and the account cannot publish. |
| Termination | Permanent, for serious or repeated breaches. |
We may act with or without notice, and we may act on a good-faith suspicion. Every action records who took it, when, and why. A Pen that links to a destination flagged by Google Safe Browsing is quarantined automatically; every other action is taken by a person.
Some breaches — CSAM, credential harvesting, malware — will result in immediate suspension or termination with no graduated response, and may be referred to law enforcement.
8. Reporting a problem#
Every Pen page has a Report button, which works whether or not you are signed in. Use it — at our size, a report from someone who landed on a bad page is the fastest signal we have.
For anything urgent, or for matters that do not fit a report category, email dustadk@gmail.com. For copyright, follow the Copyright and DMCA Policy. For security vulnerabilities in VibePen itself, email dustadk@gmail.com.
9. Changes#
We may update this policy as the Service changes and as we learn what actually shows up. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date.
